Pinecrest Farm Equine Assisted Therapy is committed to attempting to ensure our website www.pinecrestfarm.com.au is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. 

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of AA. This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. 

This website has been designed with accessibility in mind, incorporating features such as:

  • Clear and Consistent Navigation: Easy-to-understand menus and clear pathways to find information. 

  • Alternative Text for Images: Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images. 

  • Sufficient Color Contrast: Ensuring readability for users with visual impairments. 

  • Keyboard Navigation: Allowing users to navigate the site using only the keyboard. 

  • Resizable Text: Users can adjust text size through their browser settings. 

  • Plain Language: Content is written in clear, concise language, avoiding jargon. 

  • Heading Structure: Proper use of headings (H1-H6) to structure content logically. 

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Known Issues and Limitations

While we are committed to accessibility, some content or features may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. 

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content 

The accessibility of certain links on the site depend on contents that do not belong to the organization, and instead belong to Square, Wix and Credly. We therefore declare partial compliance with the standard for pages with embedded links that may or may not be compliant.

Please be aware that there are toilet facilities available onsite at PFEAT, but with limited disability access.

Alternatively, there are public toilets with disability access located in Southern Midlands Region.
